Hi there community,
I’m currently working on my first networkproject ever and I’ve got plenty of problems to get through the firewall and the router. But the NAT-punchthrough seems pretty nice explained in some threads, but what I couldn’t find was a guideline which port I should use.
I don’t want to take just any port because in most schools, universities and dormitories most ports are blocked.
Nobody can know which ports are blocked for incoming connections, or more appropriately which ports are permitted. You could ask the school network administrators or you could find a list of game people can play and us the same port.
Well actually i hoped to get some info about which ports are commonly open in public networks.
