I teach school in a district that locks down the computers so only technicians have admin rights. The teachers and students do not have local machine admin rights. Today my class started the 2D Game Kit tutorial and after they downloaded it via the u nity program and started it they were presented with many error (17) mostly dealing with the package could not install something to do with cinemachine post processing… I have 2 questions.
Question #1
in order to download and run the 2D Game Kit tutorial on a windows 10 machine what rights does a student need to have (as in are there directories that they need to be able to write to that might not be given to them?
Question@2
in my reading on the forums it appears that the version loaded on the computers is 2018.2.3f1 and this version might have issues with the cinemachine error above, so it was recommended that we upgrade to the latest version which is 2018.2.5f1. what rights would a user (student) need to do an update to unity? do they have to be a local administrator to the machine or just a user?
Thanks
