EDIT:
Very nice
Is this more of a still render scene or does it look as good if you walk around in there? vid?
would love to see a rundown on how you created this scene. Would be nice to see how you got the trees so alive.
Just shows all you need is good lighting, and good use of fog.
I would second that fog cause good settings if you can use it count for two! Mainly density and color.
Right now it’s a static scene… It takes some time to add detail to a whole terrain
No particle FX and no light flares:
No light cookie no fog:
No terrain details:
no color light no rock mesh:
Are you going to release a projectfile of this? Because I think it would be really helpful to a lot of people to look at all the settings and get a feeling of how to make things look good.
I’d love to know how you set up the cookies.
Seriously, Photobucket is shit and your pictures take ages to load.
Also, bloody hell that’s a nice looking game level you have there.
Looking good.
very nice!
lars
Looks awesome mate - you could make an RPG out of that!
Thanks,
Haha, Photobucket is a pile of crap. I’m actually using ImageShack, I thought Imgur was for reddit?
EDIT:
Latest version
That’s not real, that’s a postcard. Just saw it at the store
Seriously, looks good.
What kind of particles and cookies are you using?
I made this scene as a background for FX testing. I have plans for a nature FX pack. This scene will probably be included.
As for what makes it look the way it does… Nothing is extremely special. I just took a leaf pattern and used it as a light cookie(shadows). The particles are a little bit of steam, and some flower petal/leaf things. Vague…
Also, updates are cool:
Thanks for the support all
I want a standalone!
Haha, if you turned 90 degrees it looks like crap
Ahhh ok, I will look into it.
Maybe some variation in trees would be nice for your stuff. Also light. very very important. Color it a little bit.
Also this
Actually it is in the dark and the character cant see above the tree line much, but thanks for the suggestions:)
