Hi guys, I need a web host that will allow me to upload my unity projects , and has a pretty decent website builder( i don’t know html ) my current web host, yola has a great site builder but doesn’t allow FTP- so I haven’t been able to upload my unity project .
This is a very simple website to be used to show off my small games to potential employers( I’m only looking for a low wage QA job, so I think a small game will be enough to improve my chances…)
Please inculde the TOTAL cost per month for a site, I’ve noticed alot of the cheaper host will give you a broken site for 2$ a month and then force you to pay anouther 10$ a month to fix it.
000webhost doesn’t look professional , and facebook will block links from their subdomain . Although I will think about registering a domain elsewhere and use 000webhost for the actual hosting .
The top was realized taking in consideration the following aspects: guaranteed and tested stability of the servers, accessible prices, no intermediary companies, number of hosted domains, very positive feedbacks.
Good luck.
I use Dreamhost. It is cheap and has great features: SVN, databases, Ftp, word press, email, etc. It has one-click-installers for many popular tools. Once your setup on dreamhost, you can just drag-n-drop your unity web deployment to a directory - done!
I’ve heard people using dropbox, but I haven’t tried it.
Why don’t you just sign up with Amazon? Unless your site gets LOTS of travel you won’t be paying a dime. And if you sites does get lots of traffic that’s a good problem you want I’m guessing?
I am on bored with Not_Sure. I use Hostgator for practically all my hosting needs, and the number of things you can plug into it is un-imaginable. I use a third party SVN and plug it into my site.
S3 doesn’t besides straight HTML which you can use to serve your Unity game. EC2 does. I wouldn’t recommend throwing it in the cloud though. If you’re not opposed to paying a little use GoDaddy. They have a website builder and you can get unlimited storage + bandwidth.
