I have been seen many 3d models on the asset store , if 3 developers use the same model , what will the players think about it if they found that 3 games have the same 3d models .
It’s extremely unlikely that you’ll find 3 games using the exact same models. Think about how many games there are out there and then cross that with how many assets there are out there. How many times have you seen the exact same model in games before?
Besides from that if you’re developing a serious project you probably shouldn’t use an asset store model as one of your major characters. You’d use the asset store to fill in for less important, less noticeable extras.
Another thing you can do if you’re so concerned about people noticing is to just change some of the colours on the model, or tweak a few things to make it a little more distinct.
If the game is good most players won’t notice. There is a good thread here discussing the exact same question.
Here is another thread, attacking it from a different angle.
Ohh , thanks got it .
The point is to enable unskilled newbies like myself to make something that looks like a real game without real game dev skills.
I <3 the asset store.
The asset store does sell more than just art assets, too.
UFPS, Megefiers, and Text Mesh Pro are three AMAZING editor tools.
Shader Forge is another fantastic one. Great for those of us who make shaders more by experimenting around than by actually understanding what we’re doing.
cash money.
Fostering community collaboration. How many people share work that they otherwise wouldn’t via the Asset Store?
For real use, most of the developers still would like to buy plugins from Asset Store to save time.
The 3D models are usually for making prototype or student projects.
