What's the purpose of the new design?

Maybe it’s something I’m not seeing, but this looks amateurish to me:

I’d have multiple questions, but the obvious one is: Did 2 different people work on the versioning and the cloud columns? Not that I’d be interested at all in those redundant columns, but having symbol on the one hand and text on the other and the actual relevant information cut off speaks for itself. Although I’m not aware what happens if you’re connected. But then again, the “Not connected” sticks out. In opposite to the project name.

And then there’s the whitespace …

Hey Unity, it’s pointless to remind me in this way that I’m not using your services. Making the hub more difficult to use will only be annoying and chase devs away.

So to dive deeper: Connect to Unity Cloud is checked by default, you’d have to scroll down. And you can’t create a new project anymore unless you pick a Cloud Organization. You have to pick it even if you uncheck “Connect to Unity Cloud”

What’s the point?
