No official reply on the last message, still dead on osx 10.9 running on a 650m gt card.
The old reason was apple drivers giving wrong timing info, which unity can’t do a thing about is that still the case? Workaround? Could having CUDA drivers be a problem?

I also read that gpu profiling is dead on some cards, a bug in the profiler according to the answer.
Any chance you have experimental render jobs turned on? You can find it in the Player settings. It seems turning it off causes GPU profiling to work again, as mentioned here.
