Wheelcollider clipping through terrain

Hey everyone,

After recently upgrading to Unity 2018.3 I’ve noticed this problem where the wheels of my truck with completely clip through the terrain - but only where it’s titled. That makes sense as the raycast from the collider is shooting straight down. However, I’ve never had this problem until the upgrade.

I’ve attached a picture showing the clipping as well as the setting of the wheelcolliders.


Still no solution for this I’m afraid. Hate to bump my own thread.

We’ve started a workaround by just adding what are more or less ‘spikes’ to the wheel wells in the form of sphere colliders to jam the car upward when it decides to clip through the ground.

If anyone has any insight, would appreciate.
