Before the new payment options and selections, we were told that we would be paid in 3 months periods and at worst 15 days after the quarter ends.
Last quarter was in June, so september is the pay month.
Its the 20th of september and i see no payment yet.
Wont be until October, September is the 3rd month in this quarter. So expect paying mid Oct onwards.
The payment for last quarter went out in late july, to all having made enough money to qualify for a payment.
Next payment is in mid-late oct (or in math: month 1, month 4, month 7 and month 10 ;))
I have 3 revenues waiting, and september is the 4th.
Anyhow, i changed the payout option to paypal, does that mean i will have a payment the end of this month?
No, you won’t.
Payment is in around the middle to end of the month following the quarter.
The quarter is July 1st through Sept 30th, payments for this quarter will be starting Oct 15-20th approximately going from the past two quarters.
And you are only payed if your so far collected income exceeds $250, thats the minimum to receive any payout at all as you saw in the legal docs you ‘signed’ when joining
Actually the new “Payout”-tab suggests that there is no minimum payment with Paypal and it’s monthly.
Indeed.
But until confirmed through staff and a new agreement that you have to accept and that clearly entitles you to its its neither binding nor granted.
And even then, I doubt that it will happen on the last of the month, likely still around 15-20th when the company sends out all its other payments too
Well, in the new payout tab it says monthly payments with paypal without any transaction fee (except what paypal takes)
And i accept it as a brand new agreement.
Soo, i suppose we will have payments at the end of this month (september) if we have already choosen the paypal option.
also there was an official email from caytlin that explained the new payment system and asset store update, for options other than paypal the quarterly payment and the minimum of $250 still applies, next quarter end is september 30… last quarter i got paid 29 of july, and the cut was in june 30, so make the math
caytlin in a email last quarter said they were trying to automate the payments, and with the new monthly paypal payment, that tells me that they may have automated the pay through paypal now, if so, october first will be pay day, if its still handled manually, expect late october
Mmm I didn’t get any email explaining the new system
Same here
Ditto that, no email
I got that email !
Did it say whether the Wire transfer option if just the $20 fee or is there a percentage as well like the paypal option, would like to avoid the 3.9% hit for using paypal?
From how they worded it, it seems that Unity pays the PayPal fees for the monthly option. Would love to get that confirmed, though - from what I understand that didn’t happen the last time under the manual system.
i got no emails!!
Hi guys,
Sorry about the confusion. Here’s how it works…
The only difference since last time is that we have removed the minimum amount for PayPal payouts. So the incentive for using PayPal will be: it is free, it is more frequent and there is no minimum.
PayPal
Frequency: Monthly payouts (no word on the exact payout date yet, this is pending)
Publisher transaction fee: none
Minimum amount: none
No Paypal fee!
Wire
Frequency: Quarterly payouts
Publisher transaction fee: $20
Minimum amount: $250
Check (US only)
Frequency: Quarterly payouts
Publisher transaction fee: $15
Minimum amount: $250
Hope this helps clarify things!
Cheers
Caitlyn
Thanks Caitlyn
Can I just check when you say Free for paypal that does not mean there wont be the usual 3.9% paypal fee payable? And if the paypal fee is payable would be it not be better to use the Wire option or is there a hidden percentage in that method as well?
Chris
Yep! Not a single cent for any fee for PayPal. We cover the whole thing.
Regarding wiring expenses, I believe it is covered by the publisher fee, although I think in some cases (countries where wiring is extremely expensive or difficult) that may be subject to change.
Woah! Awesome.
I haven’t yet submitted anything to the asset store but that sounds really cool.
Guess I’ll have to get workin’ then.
