When i add a character controller... the gravity stops affecting the object :(

I Have a fbx model imported to unity;… then i added a character controller to it… and resised the green cilinder so it matches the size of the model… then… the rigidbody stoped working… he no longer respond to gravity

why is this?

why do people not read documentation…

oh… so i cant use it when i have rigidbody
