When will Unity Hub be Apple Silicon native?

When will the Unity Hub itself be a proper Universal app on macOS? I’m working on upgrading to Unity 2021 so I can use the native editor on Apple Silicon, and assuming that goes well, Unity Hub will be the last bit of software I use that’s stuck running under Rosetta.

I second that question… the Hub is slower to start than the Unity instance itself on M1 Max… I guess the Hub is an Electron app, or something like that?

Currently on my laptop both Unity and Xcode can fully open a project faster than Unity Hub is able to start and show any UI.

Not sure how much building it for Apple Silicon will help, but definitely needs some performance improvements.

would be great to have it as Apple Silicon native since the Unity Hub is the only piece of software that i want use that needs rosetta

Yeah wondering this myself. VSC is Universal and that uses Electron. I can understand the attraction of Electron for xplatform support but really why can’t we get it native? I assume some underlying tech it uses is Intel only…

Intel Unity Hub is the slowest piece of software on my mac… takes a lot to start and to quit. have to relaunch it often since Unity loses the account login… strange isn’t it?

Never. Ever. Ever. Ever.
