Originally, I got my grandkids a subscription to Brittanica Kids for Christmas, but it turned out to be too much money for too little content. A couple years ago, I purchased them a membership to Knowledge Adventure's JumpStart Online Adventures. I discovered that now that I have an iMac, the Adventures don't work because the Unity Web Player isn't able to interface properly with the latest version of Snow Leopard. The support staff at Knowledge Adventure said Unity was aware of the problem and was working on a solution. Can anyone here tell me if a solution is forthcoming relatively soon, or just a nebulous Coming Soon?? Thanks in advance for any responses!
Just for completeness, we have no known issues stopping the Unity Web Player running on Snow Leopard. We test a wide ranges of games regularly on this OS (and many more too.) I have no idea what "interface properly with Snow Leopard" means. If JumpStart is not working, please follow the advice at:
http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/3860/how-i-do-re-install-the-webplayer-when-it-fails-to-work
This question and answer was given about our 2.6.1 version, however, the advice remains useful for more recent versions.
I after a clean install you still have problems with specific games please follow-up with support or the QA team who will work with you to identify what issue you have.
I am using snow leopard 10.6.2 And Unity Web player works fine with me.
Maybe its another problem? have you downloaded the player?
is it a problem with 10.6.3?
The Unity Web Player works with my installation of Snow Leopard 10.6.5
(Apologies if this is really basic)
- Check your OS version
- Click the Apple icon in the menu bar, choose "About This Mac"
- Download the latest Unity Web Player
Good luck!
