Where are the good complete mecanim examples?

I’ve been prototyping a number of games recently and one thing that really annoys me is that I have yet to find any GOOD example mecanim-based animation sets. Just the simple walk-run-turn-jump set for a 3rd person bipedal character seems extremely hard to find done right. The Unity-provided standard assets are average at best - Their set has a whole bunch of holes that make the animation look quite bad.

Has anyone found any good best practices mecanim animation sets to use as a benchmark for doing the rest of the game?

All mocap is pretty rough before it is corrected by an animator. Most of the ‘free’ stuff out there needs animator attention to look good.
The quality stuff your looking for is not free. @Kubold has some quality animations on the asset store.

Mixamo has a huge library of good, clean mocap. But for shooter animations, check Kubold’s work as theANMATOR2b suggests.

If you use Mixamo, import the animations with Bake Into Post and Based On Original.
