Hi,
I am relatively new to unity and to this forum (my first post). I have been using unity for the past six months within an engineering environment. I work on mainly on large infrastructural projects pulling data from different disciplines together and importing into unity. I have looked on the forum for answer to my question to no avail. If it has already been answered, my apologies.
When I build a game, stand alone or for the webplayer. Is any of the data that I have in my game uploaded to the unity servers? I understand from the user agreement that some PC details are uploaded (graphics card, processer etc.). However I am more concerned about the raw data within the game as some of the information I use can be confidential.
Many thanks.
The PC details like (graphics card, processer etc.) are used for the unity stats website http://stats.unity3d.com/
No other data will be uploaded. (As far as i can tell).
The only way that unity can get your data is if you upload it via the bug reporter if you append the current project.
Thanks for reply. The stats make for interesting reading. They will be very useful when looking for money to upgrade work PCs. Thanks for the link.
I was wondering if you ever came across any unity documents/statements to support the fact that no project/scene data is uploaded… i.e. something i can show my client to prove that all design information will stay on local servers?
If you have some luck you can contact unity via email and maybe they can give you some kind of statement that will prove it to your client.

I have reading very often form support members of unity that they cant access any data if we are not uploading them via the bug reporter.
Lovely. I will send them an email. Thanks for the help.
