Where is the delete post button?

Just as the title says. Where is a button to delete own thread? Or can you?

You cannot delete a thread, only individual posts (not thread starters).

EDIT: But you can contact a moderator and they are more than happy to delete your threads.

Ahh ok , thanks DMan, was just wondering , sometimes i find myself answering myself alot on these forums (maybe on to many peoples ignore list) shrug , i dunno :(. Just figured i could clean up a few posts. Anyways, thanks mate.

so i canā€™t delete my own thread? why?

'Cause you can edit it. In general, you should probably know if you really want to make a thread or not.

Iā€™m pretty sure you can delete your topics until someone posted on it?

I thought this too but I just tested here and itā€™s not possible, thatā€™s weird.

When you answer those questions you should post back with the solution and leave it open for others who may have the same question

I am sure moderators can delete threads. So just report it and explain why it should be deleted.

Or we can just move the party here. Nothing is happening in the NPC thread.

Do we as users not have the right to delete our own threads? Who owns the things we post on here? Even if we want everything we have ever posted erased, donā€™t we have that right?

If you were to want to delete literally everything you could probably try to get yourself banned. Maybe go out in style by picking a fight with hippocoder or aurore.

Just because itā€™s taking a while to derail one thread doesnā€™t mean it should fly off the rails into another train thatā€™s still on its tracks. Though I suppose there isnā€™t a lot of point to this topic and no real room for discussionā€¦

Iā€™m sure a moderator will show up soon enough and give this thread a taste of mod-power. That should settle things.

Lol. Depends on whatā€™s on t.v.

Yeah Iā€™m here.

And no, we donā€™t delete 9 out of 10 ā€œdelete my postā€ requests because we donā€™t delete posts which have replies. The original poster no longer owns the thread once thereā€™s a reply.

But, if there arenā€™t any replies, you should see a delete post button there for your own use. Maybe. If not then please donā€™t bother us with delete post requests anyway. Theyā€™re a pain in the arse if Iā€™m honest.

And thereā€™s nothing on TV :frowning: And Game of Thrones is ages away. Still, thereā€™s probably some obscure anime worth watchingā€¦ Black Lagoon or Overlord springs to mind. I could keep waffling on but Iā€™m sure everyoneā€™s got the message.

Exactly. Any solutions and discussions are valuable to everyone on these forums so deleting it simply wonā€™t happen in the majority of cases. If the thread is no longer worth continuing then thatā€™s another matter. The moderators will simply lock it.

There never is. Thank God for on demand and instant watch.

Thankfully weā€™ve all got games to be working on, right?

Even when Iā€™m watching TV Iā€™m usually also working on some game or another.

Thatā€™s interesting.

Thatā€™s so scary that you were just kinda lurking there :hushed:

I recommend ā€˜squid girlā€™. Itā€™s a pleasant anime.

I like using shady websites to watch foreign films. The dead snow series is fantastic!

Under what circumstances is a conversation ever ā€œownedā€ by one participant, though?

I own every post whenever I reply with a pithy remark.

I thought anything posted on here would be owned by UT
