Where is the "Refresh Tree and Detail Prototypes" option in 4.2.1?

I’m new to Unity and am following a tutorial where the instructor is using an older (3.x) version. They say to go to: terrain menu → refresh tree and detail prototypes. However, I am aware that all terrain options are in the terrain inspector → settings and I cannot locate this option. Is this located elsewhere? deprecated? or am i blind?

Thanks.

** UPDATE **
It seems that maybe this feature is now automatic. Is this correct?

I’m having the same issue, I’m unable to find this menu or feature. Furthermore any changes to plants that I do for things such as base lighting aren’t being updated in the Scene view.

I know it is a year later, but I was searching for the answer to this question as well and have found the answer. It is taken care of automatically when you save the scene. So I hope it helps anyone else who comes looking.

Bump on this very interesting topic.

I’m noticing that in 4.3.4 lighting changes are applied to tree billboards only when the camera moves (in both editor and play mode). Is there an API function we can call to force an update elsewhere?

I am bumping this, as it looks very strange in Sky Master when billboards are used, since they dont update well in seasonal and sun changes.

I will check the shader to see what could be the reason.
