Where should you go to take your own pictures of wood and concrete textures

I would like to go and take my own pictures of wood and concrete textures. I have the camera, but Im having trouble finding where I can actually take pictures of them. I would like to take pictures that look like this.

Any suggestions as to where I can make my own textures like these?

Your best bet is not to take them yourself, it’s very hard to do so.

I enjoy the challenge.

That depends where you live. If you live close to city or university, its quite likely you can see those concrete panels everywhere on the wall, especially on those institutional buildings. Because those concrete panels are precast (pre-made) - so they simply lift them into place and fasten them together. The method in which they are constructed is called tilt-up construction.

The wood texture you can easily get those in any house that has floating timber flooring applied to it.

Just google “floating timber flooring” (they are also known as “laminate flooring”) and you will see what I mean.

You can even go into any hardware store and just ask them for sample of “laminate flooring” and just take picture of that.

Does anybody know what those specific concrete panels are called? The panels with the indented circles.

Pretty sure that concrete texture was painted with filters and stamp brushes.
As for taking pictures, it helps to have a “bounce flash” for soft uniform lighting.

Go to a hardware/building supply store.

I am a complete plebeian, could you describe what you just said to me.

Are you aware that you asked yourself to describe something to you?

Lol

Lol, could you describe what you meant?

You quoted yourself and asked yourself to explain yourself
