Hello all,
Hopefully an easy question to answer here, where are some good websites to purchase animated character models (is FBX the best format?). I’m pretty new to Unity and looking to buy a character with standard, walk, run, straffe, jump etc animations all ready to plonk into Unity.
I know of turbosquid, but are there others?

DAZ 3D Just released new characters that are game-ready. With LODs, textures, animations, etc.
There is a a spaceguy, a male knight, female knight, V4 Ranger, zombie, and two regular guys. They are at http://developer.daz3d.com. Search for GRC.
I recently bought a character from Dexsoft and I’m very happy with how it looks and the price… Haven’t tried implementing it with the project yet though.

cgtrader.com is another one you could visit. Be careful when getting a game asset, look over it carefully, because some of the stuff being sold is not worth buying.
Have you tried the unity3d asset store? Really good models in there.
