Things to do before you start typing.

Google
Avoid the “let me google that for you” we have (literally) millions of posts on our community sites answering all sorts of issues. Your question has more than likely been asked before. You can also use the site search at the top or the forum search.

Documentation
We have a team dedicated to cataloguing everything the engine can do and how to use it.

The rules & stickies.
We run a tight ship, stick to the rules and everyone has a good time. Beware of sticky posts that contain additional rules for a particular forum.

Am I in the right forum?
There are many topics within Unity development, make sure your issue fits in so you can get answered quicker. Each forum has a description to help you find a home for your post.

Use Code Tags
Having trouble with some code? Before you post, make sure it’s wrapped in code tags so others can read it easier.

Posting about a bug?
Include the bug number in your post. Unity staff regularly check the community for issues having a bug to look at gives us additional information that can help us help you!

I got editor essentials but it does not follow the learning pathway as described or have a tutorial in it at all.

Hey there! So sorry if there’s been any kind of mix-up, but could you explain a bit more what you mean by sending a screenshot or links to what you’re seeing vs what you’re expecting to see?

Are you referring to the “Editor Essentials” in-editor tutorial (screenshot below) Or the editor essentials mission on Unity Learn?
