Where's all my blender buttons gone?

Just installed blender 2.60a. I’ve made the jump from 2.49b- so it’s a shock to the system. I just wanna know- where have all my buttons gone? Things like “Show normals” And other things that I used to be able to find. Can some one help me retain sanity and show me where they are?

Also, I’ve got blender files to open with blender from Unity- but I can’t save them. I get the error “Blender could not convert the .blend file to FBX file.
You need to use Blender 2.45 or higher for direct Blender import to work.”

How can I stop this?

EDIT: IGNORE PART 1 OF THIS. I FOUND THEM.

All i need is this fixed : "Blender could not convert the .blend file to FBX file.
You need to use Blender 2.45 or higher for direct Blender import to work."

Export it as either a .FBX. I would prefer COLLADDA .DAE.

this announcement thread has a new script that is compatible with 2.5(and I think 2.6 as well).

As for as this Thread Says, Unity 3.4 only works with .Blends in Blender 2.49 and 2.56.

As Hollis said .FBX works fine either, but just delete your camera and lamp in blender before exporting.

I got the same Error as im using 2.6 as well.

Ahh, sorry, I forgot that they haven’t had time to add support- wishful thinking I guess xD! Thank you very much, I’ll just continue exporting .fbx files instead.

I’m using 2.59 and the updated import script from that thread and it works just fine, I can import my .blend files directly.
