Which engine is better for a 3D platformer? Unity 5 or Unreal 4?

I’m curious because I’ve had a look at Unreal and it looks pretty cool, but I already know basics of Unity. Don’t know if I should change engines or not. You’d probably say “Oh no stay with Unity” since that’s what the community is but just asking for advice?

Either will be fine.

Read the hundreds of existing Unity vs. Unreal threads.

Summary - both are 3D game engines.

Both engines work well. Since you can try both engines for free, you should take the time to do that. Figure out which one you prefer. Personally, I enjoy using Unity 5 more than using Unreal 4.

5 is bigger then 4. All other arguments are meaningless prattle by fan boys.

But seriously, we’ve done this thread a dozen times.

Either.
