Which is faster to find object in hierarchy?

I got a lot of objects in the hierarchy. i want to know which is a faster way to find an object.

GameObject.find(“Object.name”) ;

or

parent all the related object under a parent and use tranform.parent.findChild(“Object.name”); does this make the search lesser?

i guess it depends on the number of objects. Both functions should to the same (compare strings) and those operations are not the fastest.
If you have, let’s say a million objects in you scene but only a pool of around 100 possible targets, then obviously put those 100 under a transform and search there for the specific one.
But the only thing i think you shouldn’t do is call find() in Update or simply dont call it every frame as the more objects you need to traverse the worse performance gets.

Parent objects to an EMPTY game object in the hierarchy, and name that empty object according to the category of objects you will be parenting to it.

For example in the empty game object named “Buildings” you would parent all buildings to it. The empty objects are sort of like folders.
