Which is really the best format to export Maya to Unity 3D?
Just drop the .mb files in the unity project folder
.mb files if you are going to have to edit it, if not you can also export it as fbx which i don’t recommend. Unity will export to fbx from your ma/mb files anyways.
I suggest using FBX directly, since you will have most control. With the .MB auto import, everything in your scene gets imported at auto settings; meaning you cannot set specific FBX settings, etc. It can be useful, but in most cases, you will want to export only selected objects from your Maya scene.
Sry PinoEire but this operations can be too dangerous sometimes.
.FBX Win!
Ahm… I will use .fbx so, and I agree with i3DTutorials. Like you said we can edit well the materials as .fbx.
But I don’t like to use .mp in Unity, I need to converto to other dynamic format.
The .obj is the most crazy. Because has many files and folders and the object just doesn’t exist.
And the .mb I found problems to generate the default size.
