Which Unity version are you using for your iOS project(s)?

Just wondering how many iOS developers have made the leap to 5.x, and how many are sticking with 4.6.x for now - and maybe why you chose to upgrade, or not upgrade?..

I’d suggest to go with 5.x (though the 5.2 has many problems I would say, regarding all the topics).

5.x has some benefits to 4.x like:

  • a much better integration of 3rd party plugins (that was not only a pain in 4.6, but caused several breaking build pipelines and days of investigation).
  • much improved assetbundle creation. That was not easy in 4.x, 5.x made that really simple.
  • Support for 4.x will cease end of the year (afaik).

So, if you’re starting a new project, I would recommend to go wit 5.x.
