I really dont understand, i just want a simple Visual Studio to edit C# instead of MonoDevelop and I end with a 14GB Visual Studio Ultimate(90 days trial) to install in my PC.
Then when I try Visual Studio Express for Windows I CAN’T install it because my OS is not Windows 8.1, and more → 30days trial, but it says Free download!
Microsoft has a knack for naming things in the most obfuscated way possible. Case in point, you want Visual Studio Express for Windows Desktop, and not Visual Studio Express for Windows. Notice the “Desktop” part. That one should work well enough for you with Unity.
HTH
Are you using this page → Download Visual Studio Tools - Install Free for Windows, Mac, Linux
scroll down a little bit And selecting the Lighter purple Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop
Then hitting install now?
Thank you, I think I went straight to “Windows” instead of “windows desktop” because I’m used to find “Windows/Mac/Linux” versions when i look for software.
I’m gonna try to install it here.
Thank you again
