White Noise Adaptive Wind Audio Engine

I will be adding rain, and have a few other audio ideas that would suit this kind of bezier movement when I’m finished with the wind.

This looks pretty cool! Any details on what you plan to do with it (asset/open source/etc)?

One of those two, I’m sure =)
Will need some rewriting though. Just hacking together all the possibilities right now, so that I know exactly how to redesign it to take advantage of them.

Wow, the sound is awesome! Will definitely keep an eye on this.

Very nice sounding wind, subscribed for updates.

One of the nice things about controlling the sound is that you can sync the visuals with the sound.
You can’t see the rain on YT, but you can see the splashes and how it aligns with the audio.

This was using rain samples I will not be able to redistribute, but I do have some of my own that I will be distributing.
Alternatively, if you know of any decent rain/thunder samples that can be modified and redistributed, let me know.
Unfortunately, most samples that you can use commercially can still not be redistributed.

Nice, how did you do the splashes?

I didn’t make the particle system, just hooked it up.
It uses two subemitters. A splash and a puddle. Looks good.

Been too busy to start rewriting it yet, but this is another usage I had in mind that I wanted to test before I do that.

This one is proving more difficult to sync with the audio. I will be trying to solve that problem, and will also be experimenting with other audio samples and methods of syncing to try to get it looking more congruent.

Anyway, it’s linked to the windzone.
Speed trees need to have their wind settings configured in the speed tree modeler for trees to be this reactive etc.
Wind settings of Unity trees can be tweaked in the editor.

Previously I hooked up my windzone to static audio of wind blowing in the trees, and I’m looking to build something that syncs as well as that without all of the downsides.

Any progress on this? Looks great. Would love to purchase it if it becomes an asset.
