Hello,
I’ve made some maps with Substance Designer, but when I add the specular map there is white noise in the scene (and player during run time as well). Each frame the white spots shift around in a seemingly random pattern.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks!!
I had the same problem with maps that are part of Mr Necturns skeleton pack (on the asset store) … but not with my substance made materials.
I took his spec maps in to photoshop and lowered the contrast a little bit and then lowered the brightness as much as possible twice (two separate passes) and this got rid of about 85% of the sparkles.
I haven’t narrowed it all the way down though because on metal parts like shield/sword where the spec map area is say around 50% grey I still get the ‘sparkle’ effect rather than a specular shine.
So I’m curious if there is some other settings needed to reduce/eliminate this effect also.
