Who is responsible and in charge of Unity Discussions and the Community Managers?

Since this seems to be the most recent thread someone asked this question, and I haven’t been around that much recently, I decided to look again and see who was maintaining Discussions. In theory @Brach_Unity should be the maintainer but he hasn’t posted anything since September. That’s typically a sign that someone is no longer with the company. So the current answer appears to be “no one”. I also don’t see any significant improvements to this forum platform since I was last active here so don’t hold your breath if you have any problems or improvements you’d like to see made. Some of the problems I mentioned day one like that dumb background image causing performance and rendering problems are still here.

Edit: I just noticed @LeonhardP is no longer with the company, but neither he nor the other three were involved with developing the site as far as I’m aware.

Hey there. Rumors of my departure are quite exaggerated! I am still here and leading the Community Platform team.

I know I have been quiet on the forums since the fall. I have been buried in planning our 2026 roadmap and sorting out the technical debt behind the scenes. Leonhard was a massive part of our community operations and we miss him a lot. I want to reassure you that the platform has a dedicated product and engineering team working hard on it right now..

To give you a better idea of the larger projects we are tackling, I just put up a roadmap update here:

We are tearing down the “Create New Topic” composer to get rid of that confusing wall of text. We are also overhauling our category taxonomy and building out our data pipelines so we can stop guessing about what content people need.

We have a lot of work ahead of us. We will need community volunteers for feedback sessions in Q2 to make sure we get the new composer experience right. Give the update a read and let me know what you think.
