Well I saw an advertisement saying Unity 5 while scrolling through Unity Answers and then I decided to click it and download it. I have finished downloading and installing it and now it’s asking me for a serial number to activate a license.
I thought this was another update for Unity3d so I went through with it. Is this some sort of extra thing for Unity3d that I have to pay for? Because I’m so confused.
Click “Personal Edition” license. You did the same thing for Unity 4, except it was called Free Edition!
Do not be misconstrued :- This is NOT an update for Unity 4. It is a MAJOR release and is set to Replace Unity 4, although U4 will still be around for some time.
