I remember back when I started using Unity, there were multiple skyboxes you could choose from. I found them available on GitHub, but I’m just wondering, why aren’t they distributed anymore as part of Unity? There’s just the default one, which is just a gradient to simulate the atmosphere.
Reducing the download size is about the only reason that comes to mind. They’re only going to include files that they know everyone will need and everything else is either on the Asset Store or in a repository like Github.
