Seems like with older versions of Unity iPhone I could change the texture file name from inside Unity.
Now when I try to change the name and hit enter it just reverts back to the original name.
I have full write permissions in the folder including enclosed items.
Is there a new trick to this that I am missing?
If I change the name from outside Unity I loose my GUI texture assignments in the inspector… which can be very confusing to straighten out later.
Thanks.
You have to give it a completely different name; changing the case from something like “texture1” to “Texture1” won’t take. They fixed that in regular Unity sometime after 2.1.

I am changing the name to something different but it still does not work.
I am using Unity iPhone 1.5.1.
I wonder what is hosing this up.
Thanks.
if renaming it to something different, then back does not work, I would normally let the disk utilities check if the rights stuff is messed up on the disk
