Why do 2D Lights render past shadowcasters.

I’m making a game about lasers and stuff and I’ve decided to experiment with lighting in UniversalRP. I’ve encountered a problem where if a 2d pointlight is too close to a object with a thin shadowcaster it shines over and past it as seen in both of my mirrors. Picture related, Can someone explain whats happening how to fix/avoid in future?

Found out that this is a bug in URP. Current workaround is to add more vertexes in the middle of each side of your shadowcaster. If you have also have had this issue you vote on the issue tracker here.
