Why do me exe's come out date 11/30/2009?

When I build the exe (Indie/Windows), it puts 11/30/2009 as the file creation date. What gives?
Today is 6/15/2010.

11/30/2009 is an important date in UT’s history when Unity became self-aware and revolted against its creators

Interesting, not sure if it’s really a bug or something on your end. Please file a bug report if you’re pretty sure it’s not on your end. Then we can get your system info and explore the issue further.

I have seen this on different computers, so I’m pretty sure it’s not something like my clock being wrong.

Ok, I’ll submit a general bug report about this, thanks.

Sent one myself, with screenshot.

Just build the Island Demo. Windows, both Vista and XP, both Indie and Pro.

It’s that date because that is when that executable was created. The executable is the same executable used for every standalone game built with that version of Unity. (If you dig into the Unity install folder you’ll find the executable that it copies to your built project). The differences between the built projects is all in the _Data folder that sits next to the executable. The executable just looks for that _Data folder and plays whatever is inside of it.

Ah well that makes sense. Thanks. Not a bug then!
