Why do people do this?

So I added a test Steam workshop item to my game on Steam and I’m getting a lot of spam comments

I’m not sure why, is there something I’m missing? Am I not with it and the latest craze is to waste your time commenting random crap?

I’m puzzled.

Get with the problem gramps.
Useless comments on steam workshop are the hottest thing right now!

But in all seriousness there is probably some site pointing out workshop pages that seem funny and then people click on the link and leave a mark. It’s like demanding to be included in a screenshot when someone f’s up bad on certain Mesopotamian mosaic boards. It’s just a short dopamine injection. Don’t mind it.

I’d simply decide that “people are idiots” and moved on. It is possible that there’s some “steam achievement” associated with comments and they’re trying to get it.

Some people love to do evil, rather than good. They love evil, so it’s a pleasure for them to hurt you.

Feel free to remove the scum posts.

Kids want to do what others kids do. They see everyone doing something silly, they want in.
It’s the entire business model of fidget spinners.

If this is done in the name of evil, then somebody isn’t taking evil seriously.

Well there’s over 100 of them now, seems like a waste of time.

That explains it, I’m featured on the workshop main page:

An excellent opportunity for you to boost your ignore list.

Congratulations, man!

Thanks, however the item is just a test level I uploaded. :frowning:

It’s the one that got away.
