Why does "Add" project also opens it?

95% of the time when I add the project I want to tweak the platform target, or change Unity version or whatever.

So why does adding a project to my hub also open it?

Click on the triangle button on the right side of the Add button. This only adds the project, doesn’t open it.

It’s kind of a weird UX. I only learned this through experimentation or perhaps even chance.

Ah, you are right, I was going a bit crazy because I was sure I was able to do this, but couldn’t figure out how, so I thought they probably changed something recently.
