Why does camera swing when I play?

I am doing the Mecanim animation tutorial. I implemented everything the tutorial said to do with the camera and did not alter anything outside of what was stated in the tutorial. This includes putting CamPos in the correct part and having the camera follow the main character, the robot model. For some reason, when I test play, the camera swing all the way to a different part of the map as opposed to following the character. Any idea why? I am very new to Unity.

Check if you have placed camera as child to the player, if so remove the camera (child game object).
Also check for the offset value of the camera with respect to the player position.
Re-evaluate the code and the procedures you did.
