Hello!
I have ground textures that have specular, height and occlusion maps.
Can anybody tell me why I can only use Diffuse and Normal map in the Terrain Paint Tool?
Is this something that Unity once started and then did not look into it anymore, or is that done for performance reasons?
How do you others deal with this?

Native unity terrain ( which hasnt been updated for a while, but will be sometimes in the 5.x cycle, there’s a thread from unity about it) only takes diffuse/normal.
I highly recommend looking into the relief terrain pack ( RTP) which allows you to do what you want with it ( minus occlusion map.)
