Why does Unity move the axis

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why Unity does this? in the pictures bellow the first one is where the axis is in the 3D program, the second where it is when imported into Unity, the axis is for the Mech’s top half so now when I what to rotate it it’s off centre and does not rotate correctly.

Unity doesn’t move the axis. Either you have the wrong object selected or, more likely, you are in ‘center axis view’ instead of ‘pivot axis view’. There’s a couple buttons at the top of Unity that say some combination of Center/Pivot and Local/Global. Click the one that says ‘Center’.
