why I can't install the unity web player?

I installed the unity web player at this homepage.
But my status was still “not installed”. How can I solve this problem?

I never really use the Internet Explorer, but just for testing i just installed the webplayer again and tried my expression parser test i made years ago. For me it works perfectly. Maybe you need to first allow the content to be executed.

Some additional notes:

  • You have to use the Internet Explorer 11. “Microsoft Edge” does not work. So make sure you actually use IE 11.
  • Some older sites which host a Unity Webplayer build might still use the “old embed code” which might not work anymore. This is an issue of the site and not a problem on the client side. If the embed code is faulty there’s not much you can do about that. You could try creating a local HTML page and embed the unity3d file yourself.

Try opening the link i posted above. If it works the webplayer generally works on your side.
