Why input system updates stops at 1.7 version on Unity 2022.3?

Hello,

I have a simple question.
I’m using Unity 2022.3 LTS with the new input system package.
I can’t update it to the latest 1.9 version, it stays at 1.7.
Documentation for 1.8.+ and 1.9 versions says it is available for 2019.4+ and .NET v4, which is my case.
Simply, why isn’t it available for my 2022.3 version?
Are those preview versions?
