I am developing a 3d game for Android and I just reformatted my computer so I figured it would be a good time to upgrade my Unity from 4.0.0 to 4.1.2
I didn’t upgrade it earlier because I didn’t want to risk any problems. Sure enough the new version of Unity caused my Android frame rate to drop to 50% or less than what it used to be. The game play was extremely choppy…
So I uninstall 4.1.2 and go back to 4.0.0 and sure enough the frame rate skyrockets back up to where it should be.
After doing a little forum research it appears many people are having issues with newer versions of Unity 4… what is going on here?
I am not doing anything fancy that should cause problems by updating Unity versions…
