Why is my object rotated 180?

I’ve tried both Cheetah and Cinema 4D but can’t get this to work. I basically have a character that I import into Unity and make it follow a player around. I am using transform.LookAt to keep it facing the player. However, he’s turned around 180 degrees. I was using Lerpz for testing and he was just fine.

Going into Cheetah or Cinema4D and rotating the figure around 180 doesn’t do a thing.

Any thoughts?

Load to cheetah
Save as so you have a unique file

face it forwards along the z-axis (sounds like you need to rotate it 180)
Go tools>Co-ord system

click the Burn Transform button
try that

That didn’t seem to do it. Does anyone know how to do something like this in Cinema4D?

Ok, I’m able to get him turned the right way around in Cinema 4D, but now I don’t have any animations. I purchased this character since I stink at art so I’m having a real hard time getting this workflow down. Anyone open to me sending them the fbx file and getting it to work for me?

It sounds like an hours work. You could advertise it over at the collaboration section, maybe offer a time-trade or something.

This often happens, people buy stuff on turbo-squid because its cheap but it ends up being fairly problematic. Often, as they say, you get what you pay for.

does this help ?
