Why is student version almost as expensive as normal one ?

Suite licence on studica cost $2,215.09 and lasts until Unity six is released, how long is that ? When I purchase mothly subscription it is $2,940.00 (Unity pro, android pro, ios pro, teamlicence) a year. If Unity 5 will last a year, it makes student version almost as expernsive as normal one.

Also, they say that student suite version is on sale, and normally it would cost (7500$) How they came up with such number ?

Is there an alternative ?

If it really is until unity 6, that should be a lot more than a year long… The Unity 4 cycle isn’t even over yet, there are from what I heard 2 more 4.X version (4.6 should be the one with the new GUI for example) and the cycle started end of 2012 so about a 2 year cycle, and if Unity 5 cycle is as long as this one, that should leave you with at least a 3 years long licence…
