Why is Unity Hub trying to use Windows Location services

Today, Unity Hub complained that it could not access Windows’ Location Services. Why is it trying to do that?
Is disabling Analytics enough to stop this behaviour?

EU law says Analytics like location should be Opt-in, meaning disabled by default, and I can assure you I never turned analytics on.

  • and why does it ping home with my location EVERY MINUTE? Was extremely annoyed to see this in my permission access history and shut it off immediately. I see no reason for Unity Hub to be requesting this permission.

Same to me right now, I wasn’t very happy with Unity’s last “business” changes and to see this only makes it worse…
