Hello,
I created a thread asking for feedback regarding the best way to promote a mobile game nowadays ( https://forum.unity.com/threads/best-practices-to-obtain-visibility-and-exposure-in-mobile-market-nowadays.1554938/ ) and inexplicably it has been deleted “for spam”.
Can anyone can tell me what is going on?
@LeonhardP
The General forum is for discussing general topics, not for talking about your games/products (and providing multiple links to them). There are two forums for discussing/sharing your own stuff. (WIP and Made with Unity.). If you want discuss something like the topic mentioned, you can without promoting your own game. You were not given a warning for it, just the removal, because I am assuming you were posting in earnest and not trying to sneakily promote your game. (this is a common tactic, trying to promote a game under the guise asking a question). Feel free to repost, just keep it general and not provide links to your game.
@zombiegorilla so why did you remove the thread if I was posting in earnest way?
Also, did you read the thread? The links were used by people to compare the results of the two games.
I choose general forum cause I couldn’t find a more suitable place to post it. Why didn’t you moved the thread instead of removing it? The thread was active and the discussion useful.
At least, before removing it you could have asked me to remove the links.
If you want to post links to your game, and updates and such, you can use your work in progress thread. As I said, you can post the discussion again, just don’t use it to promote your game. That is not allowed the general discussion forum.

I was not using the thread to promote the game, as you yourself wrote.
Since the thread was active with several replies and the discussion was useful, is it possible to restore it removing the the links?
I wrote that I gave you the benefit of the doubt, hence no warning. It is still promotion outside the forums where that is allowed. As I said, feel free to start a new topic and keep it general and not specific.
