Why not add a humannoid rigged 3D model - like cubes and spheres in Unity3D?

Just thinking. It would help to prototype games quick.

i guess it’s because you can download something like this from Asset Store for free?

That said though, we were recently looking into the best way of providing a rigged, highly optimised character primitive specifically to aid with prototyping but it’s one of those very early, can’t guarantee if-or-when-it-might happen deals at the moment.

I’ve heard of Ethan. However wouldn’t it be easy to add him with from a menu like GameObject > Create Other > Humanoid.

I am not saying I am lazy because I could easily import cubes and spheres from Blender.

That’s actually exactly what we had in mind for our prototyping-specific character, even down to the name! Hopefully we can take another look at doing this soon.
