Why Unity don't make an easy and free visual scripting for beginner?

I want a professionnel, easy and free visual scripting but my visual scripting glitch with prefabs (behavior machine).

And I want a button to make my thoughts appear as art assets. What is wrong with uScript?

Well, the Learning Edition is obviously useless for a real game build due to its logo, and the Pro version costs $150. OP’s request is pretty valid, there’s still no free Blueprint equivalent for Unity.

It’s valid, but if Unity added this feature for free, it would completely undermine assets like Playmaker and uScript. The point I was making is they have a free version available that you can use for your development stages of the game. Then when you have the polished product, can buy the full version for no logo. If you’re serious about the game and you can’t provide everything yourself (Code, Art, Etc.) then you should be prepared to spend money.

@Thomas-Pasieka just put something up recently. Im on mobile so cant provide link. Search in his recent threads.
I dont know if its free (i think so) and based on knowing his work - Id say it is something that is versatile and robust.
I havent been able to check it yet but I want to.
Beyond that I agree with Shiro.

Go UNREAL. Blueprints are super easy and much more powerful than any visual scripting assets like in the assetstore.

And thats the core problem of unity. It depends too much on assets. The core engine is too weak.

This argument shouldn’t include a visual coding solution when the competition provides it for free as in beer.

Used to be weak, as of 5.6 it is fine and up to par. But the continuing lack of a free Blueprint equivalent is a serious blunder.

They should buy the IP for flowcanvas and nodecanvas by paradoxnotion and integrate it into the editor. I would’ve wasted my money though lol.

Because more feature means more bugs, bigger installation size, more RAM consumption(I’m on Unity 5.5 and Unity already occupy 2 Gigs of my 4GB RAM, so much for my older 2GB only lappie)…
That, and what Shiro said before…

This I agree

Simple answer:
Why would they put a free visual scripting by default like Unreal does, if they make thousands of dollars at the assetstore?
The great thought of Unity is the assetstore. It funds almost all Unity development.
90% of Unity Users do not pay for plus or pro versions, but 99% of Free Users buy assets!
Unreal Engine has the most powerful Visual Scripting that may never be defeated by any asset in Unity, and Unreal Engine gives it and much more for free! or 5% fees if the game suceds and make more than $3000 per quarter.
If Unity add a Free Visual Scripting someday, it will be maybe Bolt.
But maybe this tool will be available only for Plus or Pro users.
They arealdy gave Playmaker and Bolt for subscribers in 2017 and 2018.

Do you have any proof of that? That’s a bold claim! It doesn’t seem to fit my estimation given the size of the society.

I’m gonna go ahead and post this since it’s been awhile
Diamond Visual Scripting
A completely free solution for visual scripting. It’s free, no trial, and has a general 5 star rating. Should be useful for anybody and doesn’t hurt to try.

The answer is simple: Asset Store is one of the ways of income for Unity and if there is an asset doing very good they would not want to kill it immediately by implementing the feature themselves.

So I don’t expect any visual scripting incentive from Unity while PlayMaker, Bolt, and other big titles from Asset Store are still selling well.
