Why when I create a new material with an img does it change the colours?

I have background imagine of some stars, when I create a material using this imagine it dulls all of the colours. Does anyone know how I can change this back to the original colour? left s the original image and right is the material.

I believe the default material would use the standard shader which takes into account lighting. If you don’t care about lighting you can switch it to a Unlit shader. The other option is to place your texture in the emission node of the shader which will work similar to an unlit shader.
