Wilderness (WildLife Game)

After spending time on the internet looking for games like wolfquest, I was disappointed because wolfquest is a very unique type of game, so I decided to create the type of game I wanted using unity :-).

I don’t know the exact date the game will be finished but hopefully before the end of this year

Description:
you start the game as a lone female cougar(puma, mountain lion). As the player progresses through the game, the cougar gives birth to cubs which you are in charge of catering for. One of the main conditions for failure of the game will be if the cubs don’t reach maturity.

Also there will be humans but they will be npcs, and there are tons of other missions and events that will keep the player busy till whenever his/her hands get sore  .

above are the first screenshots of the making process, more will continue to be uploaded and please don’t forget to follow the thread to get more updates on the project

I just started work on the terrain after a brief setback( I lost most of my work)
as soon as I can get my cam working i’ll upload some basic gameplay cheers

the game is 40% complete i’ll keep updating this thread about the game and it will be my utmost wish to see the game a success

ps. please I will also need ideas to make it a better game and help spread the word thanks

To be honest, I’d be all on this game if it was based on the Jurassic period. Ya know…dinosaurs and such. That would be pretty amazing. Roaming around a large forest and you suddenly hear large footsteps and a horrifying roar behind you.

I’d pay a lot for a game like that.

This sounds pretty cool. I’d love to see it completed.

I love the concept, what perspective would the game be from?

thanks i’m trying my best

yeah me too but it requires lots and lots of work and for now i’m on a one man team

That’s an excellent puma model, very nice.

thanks a lot

What platform is it gonna be on?

pc…windows and maybe mac

As long as we can nom-nom-nom on human hearts, it might get interesting. You know, because humans are the virus of the earth.

lol yeah humans will be there as explorers, tourist, farmers, hunters and rangers

Can we get a glimpse of the terrain? :3

I will have to redesign the terrain but when i’m done with it I will release it

@EverHeartGames I will have to redesign the terrain for viewing, when it is done I will release it

Having been stalked by a Puma. It is a very interesting game idea.

@pixelsteamwow really how was it

Well, I was living in a tiny cabin in the middle of nowhere on a mountainside in the British Columbia interior. Very small cabin heated by wood. It took 20 mins to get to my place off of a highway on a private gravel road. It was an incredible place. I have spent alot of time in the forest.
So one day, I was heading to work, and came to a screeeeetching stop. In the middle of the dirt road was a 1/2 devoured deer carcass laying in front of me. I had to get out to look at it…harsh. Spidey Senses tingling.
So I head to work…boring.
On the way home, I come up the same road and there is the 1/3 of the carcass left…I did not get out…

So the next morning I go out for my daily walk in the forest…

I come across a series of tracks cougar tracks that lead to my place and around my vehicle…

So being rational…I ran like hell to my place and closed the door…

At the time, I had two young children. Sadly, I was wisely forced to leave here due to the circumstances.

I went and saw a wildlife specialist from the area…he said. “Well it’s good to see they are eating deer…if he wanted to kill you, you would be dead before you knew it.”

I am Canadian. I do not believe in guns…really. So if I was to die, by being killed by a large predator…it would be a hell of a story for my grandkids;)

See attached photo.

This game could be great, and so original. I’ve thought that a game where you control an animal could be an interesting experience. Getting the animations right is going to be tricky, and very important. Will the hunting for prey involve stealth game-play?

Best of luck with it, I look forwards to seeing how it turns out.

@pixelsteam wow cool story, its experiences like this that make life worth living
