Will they be adding gyroscope to Unity Remote any time soon?

or any plans on adding it?

Right now I use the gyro scope in many of my projects, I find it really annoying to have to write a little code then build and deploy just to test one line of code.

Can we please officially add Gyroscope to Unity remote and Unity as well as support for the iPhone 5? Maybe in the settings of the app it can have a toggle of what data it can send… Just a thought.

Thanks in advanced!

Not to rain on your parade at all, but the accelerometer has been in the iPhone since the first iPhone. And even THIS feature is not in the unity remote. So I think a safe answer to your question would be, unfortunately, no.

What do you mean the accelerometer isn’t in unity remote? How have I been testing my accelerometer-based iOS games with it, then?

@macdude2

The accelerometer data is most assuredly in the unity remote…been there for quite a while.

Oh, didn’t know that. Could have sworn I had read it somewhere. Even still, the the iPhone has had a gyro since the iPhone 4 came out almost 3 years ago. So my point still (kind of) stands.

Well some things happen when we ask nicely.
Just created the feedback idea link…If anyone else needs it please stop by and cast a vote. :slight_smile:

I used the gyroscope on my android’s unity remote, it does work.

Gyroscope or accelerometer? The ios remote only has accelerometer data.
